Forum Creating Change 2022
This year’s DAAD forum ‚Creating change’ took place from July 1st to July 7th 2022.
We would like to thank everyone for their participation. We had a wonderful and productive time and it was nice to meet and network in person again!
The topic of sustainable living, working and researching is becoming ever more present and pressing as it affects all individuals and generations. Research and training institutions like universities play an important role in this matter as the Sustainability Code for Higher Education Institutions defines them as pioneers for change processes.
Through the forum, the international and interdisciplinary participants had the opportunity to exchange, share and deepen their knowledge at eye level.
The result was a manifesto with suggestions and concrete proposals to make a change. The Alumni of the University Würzburg reccomend:
1.To collaborate and share information institutionally, professionally, and personally for sustainable change
2.To build the society upon the spirit of humanity
3.To include children as future change makers
4.To promote gender balance and social inclusiveness
5.To promote sustainable teaching, mentoring and lifelong learning for all
6.To increase awareness regarding the consumption of natural and digital resources
7.To maintain equal and ethical relationships
8.To enhance synergy with inter-, multi- and transdisciplinary approaches among alumni forcreating sustainable change
