Würzburg Dialogue on Strengthening Franco-German Cooperation

Organised by Alumni & Friends of the University of Würzburg e.V., the University of Würzburg Community and the Université de Caen Normandie, under the patronage of the French Ambassador, François Delattre.

“Europe, and within it the Franco-German partnership, are bound by the obligation not to let the world slide into chaos and to guide it along the path to peace” (President Macron, 18 November 2018)

The Franco-German friendship has been a key driving force for Europe for decades – yet this driving force needs fresh impetus. Through this dialogue forum, we aim to help strengthen cooperation between the two countries and to reflect together on current challenges.

The event brings together German and French academics, students and the interested public, and promotes interdisciplinary exchange. It forms part of the vibrant cooperation network between the University of Würzburg, the University of Caen and other partner universities.

Thanks to the cooperation with the Schelling Forum of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences, the forum can take place on its premises.
