Raghavendra Gadagkar is an honorary professor at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India, who studies evolution of social behaviour using eusocial insects using Ropalidia marginata, a locally common wasp as a model. He was, from 2014 to 2016, the president of the Indian National Science Academy.

After a two-month stay in Konstanz, Professor Raghavendra Gadagkar (a friend of Professor Jürgen Kreft) where he has been invited as a Senior Fellow at the Zukunftskolleg he sent a message to the Community. He told us that he enjoyed "the pleasant and intellectually stimulating interaction with students, post-docs, and other early-career scientists."
