Wanted: Alumni from the African Continent for exhibition project at the Afrika Festival in Würzburg.
26.03.2025The Forum Africa Centre (FAZ) of the University of Würzburg is participating in the Afrika Festival with an exhibition again. This year, the FAZ board decided that they would like to add voices and pictures of African alumni of the University of Würzburg to this exhibition. Dr. Sarah Schönbrodt-Stitt and Dr. Michael Thiel are responsible for the organisation of this exhibition and are looking for participants.
For the upcoming Africa Festival in Würzburg (29th of May – 1st of June), we plan to contribute to the exhibition of the University of Würzburg. We will present our projects, but we would also aim to give a voice to our alumni from different African countries.
Thereby, we think of a short portrait of some of you to be displayed on a roll-up. For those who are interested in contributing, we need the following information written in short sentences and a picture (portrait photo):
- Title, Name, surname
- Country and institution where you are coming from
- Home university
- Purpose of your stay at the University of Würzburg
- Duration of your stay at the University of Würzburg
- Funding for your stay in Germany
- Department during your stay at the University of Würzburg
- Your goal for your stay at the University of Würzburg
- Your current occupation
- Some personal words if you wish, e.g., what you like about your stay.
Here is an example: Hi, my name is Dr. Sarah Schönbrodt-Stitt. I am from TOWN in COUNTRY. I am graduating from YOUR UNIVERSITY, where I am studying YOUR STUDY PROGRAM as a PhD student. I will stay for 3 months (OR OTHERS) at the Department of Remote Sensing to PURPOSE OF YOUR STAY. My stay is funded by FUNDING SCHEME. My stay here in Würzburg aims at GOAL OF YOUR STAY.
