Alumni have the following possibilities for using the university library:
Valid reader pass
Alumni can apply for their reader pass prior to their first visit by filling in this online form. You can pick up your reader pass for free at the circulation desk of the library by showing your ID/ pass port.
You can pick up your pass on every working day, but if you want to get a reader pass without completing the online form, you can only do this Monday to Friday. Everyone who is at least 14 years old and has a residence in Germany is entiteled to such a reader pass. A reader pass is needed for library services such as
- Media check-out and return
- Ordering media via the catalogue
- Interlibrary loan
- Reservation of media
- Other services of the catalogue
Alumni do not need a reader pass to read, scan or copy books or other media on site.
