The Career Centre promotes digital skills and draws attention to exciting events on artificial intelligence and digitalisation at JMU, Coimbra and other partner universities. Whether workshops, lectures or networking opportunities - discover new perspectives, expand your knowledge and actively shape your future.

TOOL TIP TUESDAY

In cooperation with the AI Campus, the VK:KIWA and the FernUniversität in Hagen will present AI tools on the topic of academic work and writing every second Tuesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom and use cases to show how they can be used in practice in teaching and research. In the subsequent exchange rounds, we look forward to further perspectives and experiences from and for the community. The series of events is aimed at all interested parties and is low-threshold and free of charge. Registration is not required!

March 18, 2025: Deep Research: Discovering potential, exploring boundaries
With Miriam Maibaum and Ulrike Aumüller

AI-supported research tools such as Deep Research from OpenAI promise more efficient scientific work – but how good are they really? Which providers are there? And what are the strengths and weaknesses of the systems? In the workshop, Miriam Maibaum and Ulrike Aumüller will show test results, discuss possible applications and reflect on the limits of the systems in an academic context.
