Vacation care
The JMU Family Service offers childcare for school children aged 6-10 during all Bavarian school vacations, i.e. winter, Easter, Whitsun/Pentecost, summer, fall and on the Day of Prayer and Repentance. During the summer vacations, children who are not yet 6 years old but are about to start school may also be registered. Some vacation weeks are also open to older school children (11-12 years).
Campus Camp is open to all children of employees and students of the Julius-Maximilians University and the University Hospital of Würzburg. Children of employees from s.Oliver GmbH & Co. KG Würzburg and employees of THWS Würzburg are also welcome at Campus Camp.
If necessary, free capacities or places that have become available on short notice will be allocated to non-university families one week. Non-university families are welcome to inquire with Ms. Klug about possible free spots one week before the start of the vacation week.
We would also like to point out that this is a German-language childcare program, so if your children do not speak German, please contact management in advance in order to integrate the children into the group in the best possible way and make them feel welcome. The same applies, for example, to children with physical disabilities or other restrictions.
To register your child/children, please read the information on data protection in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR and fill out the online form under the Registration tab.
If all free places have been allocated, your child will automatically be placed on our waiting list. You will receive an automatic email from us informing you of this as well as of any spots that become available. So far, all children on the waiting list have received a place at the Campus Camp - albeit shortly before the start of the vacation week. We therefore advise you not to cancel your place on the waiting list if you urgently need a spot.
On the other hand, please let us know if you do not wish to be on the waiting list so that we can better plan for each week.
If you would like to cancel your child/children's registration at Campus Camp, you can do so free of charge up to three weeks before the start of the event.
If you cancel within the three weeks before the start of the event, a cancellation fee will be charged. The cancellation fee is 80% of the total cost.
