Helpdesk for Sexual Harassment
The Office of the University Women's Representative offers the opportunity to make contact anonymously. Via the helpdesk, you can submit a request for counselling online and, if you wish, without disclosing any personal data and take advantage of personal counselling.
Counselling can take place anonymously via the platform's chat function - however, you can also opt for a personal meeting at any time during the process.
The counsellors at the helpdesk are bound to secrecy and will treat your request confidentially.
In an initial counselling session
- We will help you to assess what you have experienced and find a personalised way of dealing with it.
- We will show you options for action, talk about possible forms of support and, if necessary, put you in touch with suitable counselling centres.
- We will inform you about the possibility of making a report and the steps involved. If you decide to make an official report and would like support, we will guide you through the process.
Important: A counselling request is NOT a report and reports are not made by the helpdesk. You alone decide what you need from us as a counselling service and what further steps you want to take - or not.
Each person decides for themselves what they find unpleasant. We therefore expressly appeal to you to contact the helpdesk if you are unsure. If you are not sure yourself whether you have behaved in an offensive manner towards another person, we are also available to advise you (anonymously).
