Motivation

We are an interdisciplinary scientific team of the University of Würzburg and not a commercial company. We are convinced of the potential of VR technology for new didactic teaching concepts and especially for practical training. Due to our common enthusiasm for this topic, we have invested several years of working time in the development of femtoPro. We want to make eye-safe training with pulsed lasers widely available at universities, schools and in companies, while conveying the fascination for optics and (time-resolved) laser spectroscopy.

femtoPro is developed in a cooperation between the research groups of Prof. Tobias Brixner (Chair for Physical Chemistry I, Institut für Physikalische und Theoretische Chemie) and Prof. Sebastian von Mammen (Games Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Institut für Informatik).
