First publication in a scientific journal
05/04/2023Our first scientific publication was published in the journal Applied Physics B: Lasers and Optics. femtoPro will be represented at this year’s LASER World of PHOTONICS. And: The free-use period of the full version has been extended again.
femtoPro uses realistic physical models to calculate beam propagation and light–matter interaction in real time. But which models are actually used? The answer to this question is part of our first article on the physics of femtoPro, which was published in the journal Applied Physics B: Lasers and Optics. Therein, we describe the conceptual and mathematical foundations of our software, take a closer look at example experiments and discuss various application scenarios. You can find the open access article here. A second publication with details on the mathematical and physical model is currently in preparation.

femtoPro will be represented at this year's LASER World of PHOTONICS, the world's leading trade fair in the field of optics and photonics. Our booth is part of the joint booth of the Bavarian universities, which is organized by the Bayern Innovativ GmbH. Visitors will again have the opportunity to try out the full version of femtoPro. Visit us in hall B1, booth 468 and talk to developers!
Free download of femtoPro extended until 31 July 2023
We are currently working very intensively on a femtoPro upgrade with new functionalities. Until its release, we have once again extended the period of free use of the current version until 31 July. To continue using femtoPro, please install the current version via the download section. The software currently runs on the VR headsets Oculus/Meta Quest, Oculus/Meta Quest 2 as well as Pico Neo 2 Eye and Pico Neo 3 Pro Eye.
