femtoPro 0.4.0 released: Use the full version for free!
07/09/2022Limited introductory offer: The full version of femtoPro can be used for free until 31 October 2022.
We are happy to announce that version 0.4.0 of femtoPro is now available for download. In addition to various improvements and bug fixes, we have added numerous new features and levels. The full version now includes 23 tutorial levels which all together can serve as a practical lab course. While the first few levels introduce you to the controls and basic concepts of femtoPro, there are also step-by-step tutorials on basic alignment procedures, linear optical setups such as various types of telescopes, and more advanced experiments such as Michelson and Mach–Zehnder interferometers. These two types of interferometers are also available as pre-aligned setups. We have also added nonlinear optical effects such as second-harmonic generation and sum-frequency generation. The sandbox level now features all optical elements available in femtoPro. You can find a full list of changes in the Version history section.
We have also added features that further raise the awareness for laser safety. For example, now there is a warning when the beam diameter exceeds a certain size. If the laser beam hits your virtual eyes, there is now a more insistent audiovisual feedback.

femtoPro comes now with an installer executable which greatly simplifies the installation procedure. You will only need a few clicks on your PC to install femtoPro on your VR device!
Go to the Download section und get your own virtual femtosecond laser lab! As an introductory offer, you can use the full version for free until 31 October 2022.
Visit us at the International Conference on Ultrafast Phenomena!
femtoPro will also be presented at this year’s International Conference on Ultrafast Phenomena in Montréal, Canada (18 – 22 July), which is recognized as the world’s most important conference in the field of nonlinear optics and ultrafast spectroscopy. In addition to a scientific contribution, we will also have an exhibition stand at the Hotel Bonaventure Montréal. Interested scientists from all over the world will have the opportunity to put on VR goggles themselves to try the full version of femtoPro. If you plan to attend this conference, feel free to give us a visit at booth number 111.
