Resources for Teachers and Students
For students who wish to study China in addition to their major, Würzburg Sinology offers basic language training in the Chinese language. The Sinicum is intended on the one hand as a supplementary and accompanying study element to another degree program, but on the other hand also as an independent unit for visiting students. The Sinicum serves the acquisition of language skills as well as basic knowledge in the areas of regional studies and the history of China. For further information, please click here.
For students of all state universities in Bavaria, the University of Bayreuth, in cooperation with the Virtual University of Bavaria, offers students the opportunity to become familiar with China parallel to their main studies, while at the same time sharpening their view of the cultural conditioning of behavior in general and in particular with regard to Chinese-German interactions. The additional study program China Competence (SinoZert) is scientifically and application-oriented and provides students with basic knowledge and skills for the development of China competence. For teachers and students, BayChina has put together an impressive collection of China-related podcasts and websites. For those interested in learning more about China, the China-Schul-Akademie (University of Heidelberg) offers an impressive list of links to external plattforms.
For beginners or those who want to brush up on their language skills, our students recommend the app 'HelloChineseLearning', which you can conveniently use online in your browser or on your mobile devices.
