Cooperation Guidelines
Based on our members' many years of experience in research with China, the China Centre at the Julius Maximilians University is aware of the opportunities, but also the challenges, in higher education cooperation with the People's Republic. In particular, we adhere to the specific guidelines for cooperation with China issued by the German Rectors' Conference (HRK), the manual 'Export Control and Academia' of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA), as well as the instructions of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Association for Chinese Studies (DVCS).
On these pages you will find these guidelines on the responsible exchange with the People's Republic of China. For further information, please contact us directly.
In addition, the China Competence Centre has created its own checklist for scientists at the University of Würzburg, which can be downloaded here. Please note, that this checklist intends to support scientists in establishing cooperations with China by raising pertinent questions that both German and Chinese institutions should be asking themselves when considering joint projects. In no way does the list claim to be comprehensive and exhaustive; rather it should be interpreted as an initial step on the road to successful academic cooperation.
