KoWinChi is a BMBF-funded project that sensitises scientists and research support staff in dealing with Chinese research partners. The workshops are open to employees at research institutions in the Main-Franken region.
The following topics will be addressed in this workshop:
Introduction to the development and significance of science and technology in modern China, taking into account cultural, historical, political, economic and social aspects.
Analysing the international networking of Chinese scientists and the transfer of knowledge since the reform and opening-up policy of 1978.
Analysis of the Chinese understanding of science and technology, characterised by cultural and political factors such as optimism about progress, predictability of innovation and the specifically Chinese relationship between science and politics.
