The aim is to identify, from the user's point of view, possible key areas for the use of small satellite missions in extraterrestrial applications. In addition, the technical possibilities in the national, European and international context will be identified in order to assess the feasibility of scientific missions with small satellites. The results will help to prioritise the activities by providing an evaluated database. Concrete proposals for potential national missions will be developed in a second step. The study is conducted at the Astronautics Chair's Interdisciplinary Centre for Extraterrestrials (IFEX).
