Cynthia Sharma and Chase Beisel honored with Pettenkofer Prize 2022
10/06/2022On October 6, Cynthia Sharma and Chase Beisel were awarded the Pettenkofer Prize 2022 for their pioneering work in the field of "innovative methods for the diagnosis of viral infections" in Munich.
This prize is awarded to outstanding scientists who have made a special contribution in the field of scientific and practical hygiene, medical microbiology or virology.
Both award winners conduct research in Würzburg: Professor Dr. Cynthia Sharma at the Institute for Molecular Infection Biology (IMIB), Professor Dr. Chase Beisel at the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI).
