Staff Mobility for Professional Development Purposes - Staff Training Mobility (STT)
Staff mobility for training purposes
Erasmus+ facilitates professional development and training measures (STT) for both academic and non-academic university staff in program countries, aiming to enhance internationalization as well as professional and personal qualifications. Eligible training activities can take place at a host institution with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) or at any other institution located in a different program country that operates in the labor market or in the fields of general and vocational education or youth services.
Key Features:
- Duration: International stays must last a minimum of two full working days.
- Eligibility: All university staff members from various departments, including general and technical administration, libraries, academic departments, faculties, finance, public relations, student advising, technology and transfer, and continuing education, are eligible for funding through STT.
- Possible Formats: Training formats may include job shadowing, study visits, participation in workshops, seminars, and language courses. Universities often also offer International Staff Weeks.
-
Benefits of an Erasmus+ Stay: Participants benefit from a structured program, professional exchange and new perspectives, strengthened competencies, and the expansion and deepening of international networks.

- Sufficient language skills (in the local language and/or English)
- Financial and mobility agreement, which includes creating a work program in coordination with the host institution
- Submission of a report on experiences after the stay

To facilitate planning, please register your Erasmus staff mobility for the upcoming academic year as early as possible, ideally at least one month before the planned mobility.
The European Commission and the DAAD are committed to continuously improving the Erasmus+ program, which may lead to changes during the current program year. Comprehensive and up-to-date advice can be provided in a personal consultation.
