Fonds "International University"

Qualified students of the University of Würzburg can apply for a grant from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Art (Fonds International University), if they complete a study stay abroad for longer than one semesters as part of our university cooperations, provided they do not receive Aulsands-BAföG.

Funding for language courses abroad and tuition fees is not through this program is not available. Neither is it is possible to combine this funding with support from the ERASMUS program and PROMOS.

Possible funding includes:

- A monthly grant for additional living expenses incurred abroad for a maximum duration of 12 months (up to a maximum of €400.00 based on the foreign allowance for BAföG).
- A grant for travel expenses up to the amount specified in § 4 BAföG-AuslandszuschlagsV in its current version is also possible.
- The student's and their dependents' financial circumstances will be taken into account to an appropriate extent.

Applications can be submitted until June 30th of each year. After the application deadline, a selection committee will decide on the applications.

Semester stays are exclusively supported through PROMOS.
