    Erasmus Mobility with Partner Countries outside of European Union (KA 171)

    Currently, the University of Würzburg (JMU) has Erasmus partnerships under Erasmus+ KA 171 (formerly KA 107) with the following partner countries and universities:

    Funding Rates for Student Mobility

    If you are sent from Germany to a partner country, you will receive €700 per month.
    For a stay from a partner country to Germany, the funding amount is €850 per month.

    In addition to these monthly rates, travel costs are provided based on the actual distances between the departure and destination locations of the mobility. Distances are determined using the European Commission’s calculation tool. Furthermore, additional funding can be requested for sustainable travel (Green Travel), as well as for students with fewer opportunities (special funding) to enhance social participation and equal opportunities.

     

    Funding Rates for Staff Mobility

    Starting from the Erasmus funding year 2018/2019, the following fixed daily rates apply until the 14th day of stay; from the 15th to the 60th day of stay, the funding is 70% of the specified daily rates:

    For stays from Germany to a partner country, €180 per day is paid up to and including the 14th funding day. From the 15th funding day onwards, the amount is reduced to €126 per day.

    For stays from a partner country to Germany, the funding is €160 per day up to and including the 14th funding day. From the 15th funding day onwards, you will receive €112 per day.

    In addition to these daily rates, travel costs are covered based on the actual distances between the departure and destination locations of the mobility.     The requirements for application documents, deadlines, and the application process may vary depending on the responsible individual. Therefore, please inquire in advance!

    Selection

    The selection of participants is at the discretion of the program coordinators. The University of Würzburg applies uniform selection criteria:

    • Motivation: (Academic justification; therefore, please familiarize yourself with the study offerings of your desired university in a timely manner.)
    • Academic Performance
    • Language Proficiency: (If the language of instruction differs from the local language, the language of instruction will be decisive. However, candidates who also have knowledge of the local language typically receive priority.)
    • Engagement: (Involvement in university and extracurricular activities)

    Make sure to apply in a timely and complete manner to avoid being formally excluded!
