Intercultural Training Opportunities
Whether before or after an international stay, the University of Würzburg offers various programs to enhance your intercultural competencies. These programs can help you prepare for an international experience or continue your intercultural education afterward.
Below is a selection of such offerings at the University of Würzburg:
Virtual Exchange Opportunities at the Career Centre:
The Career Centre, in collaboration with Soliya, provides students with the chance to acquire intercultural competencies in a digital setting. You can choose between two different programs: Global Circles and Climate Virtual Exchange (CliVEx). These courses offer the opportunity to engage in discussions with students from various foreign universities on current societal and political issues. This not only strengthens understanding of global interconnections and critical thinking but also develops transversal skills such as responsibility and presentation abilities.
Programs under GSiK - Global Systems and Intercultural Competence
GSiK offers a diverse program of events each semester on the broad topics of intercultural competence, sustainability, and global responsibility.
Programs by the Professional School of Education within the GoTEd Project - Global Teacher Education
The DAAD-funded project "Global Teacher Education" supports future teachers in acquiring intercultural, linguistic, and subject-specific competencies.
