Language Proficiency & German Language Courses
Language proficiency
The main language of instruction is German. But you will find also courses in English in the faculties.As an exchange student, you should have sufficient language proficiency to follow the courses. It is not necessary for most subjects, however, to have a specific level of proficiency in German to be admitted as an exchange student.
Please note the following:
- If you wish to earn ECTS credits at the University of Würzburg, you should be able to demonstrate a B1-level of proficiency (exception: courses at the Language Center)
- We do not accept OLS test certificates as proof of your language skills.
- For the following subjects you must have a certain language proficiency:
