Insights into everyday working life with the mentoring programme (in german)

Date: 01/16/2025, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Category: Fakultät für Humanwissenschaften, Vortrag
Organizer: Career Centre
Speaker: Michaela Thiel

At this event, the University of Würzburg Community, in cooperation with the Career Centre, will present the Mentoring Programme, in which students, doctoral students or young graduates are matched with working alumni of the University of Würzburg, who can provide valuable support with questions and problems relating to professional or academic development.

Students are given an insight into professional practice, support in finding an internship and tips on starting a career. Are you wondering where your degree can take you professionally? Whether you should follow up a bachelor's degree with a master's and then a doctorate? Or how to best organise your career to get you where you want to go? You can find answers to these questions either in an orientation meeting with a potential mentor or by taking part in a year-long programme.
A mentoring tandem will also be present to share their experience of the programme and answer any questions you may have.

Join the Mentoring Programme:

As part of the mentoring programme, the Career Centre supports interested students with counselling sessions and potential analyses in order to show them what to do and how to find a mentor. Students can then use this knowledge when applying for the programme.

In the 4h workshop 'Potential analysis - Well prepared for the mentoring interview', the self-presentation will be strengthened by instructions for a potential analysis, so that the students can go into their interviews with the mentors with more precise ideas.
