Oliver James

Professor of Politics, University of Exeter

Oliver James is a Professor of Political Science focusing on topics in public policy including citizen-state relations -especially citizen participation, coproduction and use of public services, and digital technology and public services. I

In the Fiscal Citizenship project, he is working using surveys and survey experiment methods on topics including measurement of fiscal citizenship, fiscal and environmental citizenship, and taxpayers’ interaction with tax authorities and their associated outcomes –particularly assessing the consequences of differences in taxpayer background and tax authorities’ modes of tax administration.
