Structure of the Center
The Rudolf Virchow Center is based on different columns. The main area – research – comprises Junior Research Groups, the Core Center, Research and Senior Professorship as well as the Bio-Imaging Center. In addition the RVZ Network offers funding for cooparations within the center or with researchers at the University.
Young scientists are taught in an Undergraduate Program in Biomedicine. The Public Science Center promotes dialog with the public through press and media work, several laboratory programs for children and high school students, as well as public scientific debates.
An international Scientific Advisory Board monitors scientific progress, provides advice on the recruitment of Group Leaders, awards Research Professorships, and monitors RVZ Network projects.
