Chair of Structural Biology
The Chair of Structural Biology is located at the Rudolf Virchow Center of the University of Würzburg.
We are using high resolution structural biology in combination with state-of-the-art biochemical and biophysical analyses to address fundamental questions in DNA repair mechanisms, the maintenance of genomic integrity, and deubiquitination cascades.
Answering these questions enables us to gain important mechanistic insights into these processes. We functionalize this knowledge for therapeutic use by applying structure-based drug design.
