X-ray crystallography explained for teenagers
09/30/2021As part of the "Highlights of Physics", Dr. Sebastian Bothe from the RVZ introduced interested students to the methodology of X-ray crystallography.
In an entertaining way, he explained the mechanisms of drugs and how scientists analyze and improve them.
The young people were attentive and asked pointed questions after the lecture about interactions of the drugs and the differences between research in industry and science. Two girls took the opportunity for a personal discussion to find out about possible study courses in this field of research.
The science festival "Highlights of Physics" presents exciting science until October 2, both as a hands-on exhibition and with an extensive online offering.
