4.1 What do I have to do to get a replacement card?

Please phone or email us first if you need a replacement card. Chip Card Office

You will usually receive a free replacement if your photo or the information related to your public transport pass is no longer visible. If that is the case, please let us have a photo of your old card.

If you have lost your card or if it is in a poor condition overall (e.g. broken or scratched) and shows obvious signs of improper handling, we will charge you €20 for a replacement.

You will have to pay this fee through StudiSoft. We don’t offer any other payment options. To make your payment, please follow the link below:

If you don’t want to upload your photo to the WueStudy portal, you can email it to us at kartenservice@uni-wuerzburg.de. Your photo will be used only once for the purpose of producing your replacement card and will not be stored.

Information for students who have lost their cards:

Ultimately, all found cards are dropped off at our office. How long it takes them to reach us depends on where they were lost. Most found cards are handed in to us by Studierendenwerk Würzburg, the university libraries, the local public transport provider (Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs-GmbH, WVV) and the City of Würzburg. It may therefore be worth asking there directly.
