The JMU has been certified as a family-friendly university since 2008 and is actively committed to promoting the compatibility of family and career. For this reason, the Welcome Centre supports dual-career couples of newly appointed professors in their search for a job.

To offer better support for your dual career-related concerns the University of Würzburg strives to continually expand its networks with other universities and companies in Franconia and beyond. Since December 2014 Julius-Maximilians-Universität is also a member of the dual career network of the metropolitan area Rhine-Main.
A regional Dualcareer Network Unterfranken was founded in April 2017.
