Language Centre - language certificate

The Language Centre issues language certificates for the language training provided at the Language Centre. The language certificate documents which modules the University of Würzburg student or employee has successfully attended at the Language Centre and which level of education he/she has completed with them. In addition to the scope of the training, the grades of the achievements in the modules and the language level of the training are also documented (in each case also in translation into English and into the relevant foreign language). As a meaningful proof of the completed language training, it is suitable for submission to applications and stays abroad.

The Language Centre issues language certificates on request for the following languages and levels:

Arabic: A2, B1 Antrag

English: C1 Antrag

French: B1, B2 Antrag

Italian: B1, B2 Antrag

Portuguese: A2 Antrag

Swedish: B1, B2 Antrag

Spanish: B1, B2 Antrag

Turkish: A2 Antrag

The language certificate must be applied for by using the online form (see above). After checking the requirements, the document will be issued by the Language Centre secretariat. In order to obtain a language certificate, the following modules must have been successfully completed at the Language Centre:

Level A2: A1.1 + A1.2 + A2 or A1 + A2

Level B1: A2 + B1 or A2 + B1.1 + B1.2

Level B2: B2.1 + 4 SWS on level B2.2

Level C1: at least 4 modules on level C1

It is expressly pointed out that there is no entitlement to an event being held with an insufficient number of students. The same applies if there are not enough course places available due to particularly high demand or if the Language Centre does not have a suitable teacher or lecturer available for the course. It should also be noted that some events occur every two semesters. We therefore ask students to plan the acquisition of a language certificate at an early stage.
