Proof of foreign language skills for teacher training students
According to LPO I (version of 13 March 2008), students of selected subjects in teacher training programs in Bavaria must provide proof of foreign language skills at various levels in order to be admitted to the 1st State Examination. Proof of this knowledge must be submitted to the examination office when registering for the state examination.
Proof of such foreign language skills can be provided in various ways. There is a corresponding announcement from the Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs. One of the options listed (point 3.i) is "by proof of successful participation in a course set up by the university". The Language Centre offers courses at the levels to be demonstrated. This overview lists the corresponding modules to be taken:
- Overview of Language Centre modules for the teaching profession "Basic and Middle School Studies"
- Overview of Language Centre modules for the teaching profession "Primary, Middle and Secondary School"
- Overview of Language Centre modules for the teaching profession "Gymnasium"
Proof of the "foreign language qualification in English at level B2" is issued upon written application by the Language Centre secretariat (email to: zfs-verwaltung@uni-wuerzburg.de). The prerequisite for the exhibition is the successful attendance of a total of 4 SWS at level B2.2 or 2 SWS at level C1 (depending on the placement result).
