MANSA (Mande Studies Association) Conference
24.06.2021The conference took place from July 16-19, 2021 and was entitled "Beyond Crisis and Insecurity: Cultural Creativity, Popular Struggle, and Social Change in West Africa."
During the event, our LoSAM collaborator Janneke Tiegna (Subproject F) presented preliminary results of her research on vigilantism in Burkina Faso. She spoke on the topic: "Terrorism in Burkina Faso and the Impact of the Vigilantes Koglweogo and Dozo."
The online conference was co-organized by Upsala University and facilitated a stimulating exchange of leading West Africa researchers.
