The realization of the course implies going through three thematic units. Within the first thematic unit, it is planned to analyze the mutual relations of two comprehensive constructs: quality and education. Their intersection opens three areas for considering their interrelationship: the impact of the achieved level of quality of life on education; the impact of education on quality of life and quality of education. Focusing on the quality of education leads to numerous dilemmas and difficulties in the process of perceiving the quality of education. Different models of approach to the study of the quality of education will be considered. Special attention is paid to clarifying the meaning and functions of indicators and standards. In this way, the role of evaluation in the quality system of education will be analyzed. By focusing on the concept and process of evaluation, the way is opened to the analysis of different evaluation systems, related to different elements of the adult education system. The second thematic unit of the course is dedicated to this analysis. At the beginning of the part dedicated to evaluation models related to the selected elements of the adult education system, students will have the opportunity to try individually or in pairs to lay the foundations of evaluation systems of these types, without insight into various existing solutions, and based on the guidelines. After analyzing the products, in the case of each of the selected elements, we would like to get acquainted with some of the most famous individual evaluation systems related to organizations in the field of adult education, adult education/training programs, adult education/training process, teaching staff and student achievement in adult education. Based on the literature, students would get to know them individually or in pairs. For the system they received, it is planned to prepare a presentation and present and analyze it together in a group (based on certain criteria). The main purpose of the analysis is aimed at establishing a relationship between the considered evaluation system and its potential role in improving the quality of adult education. The third thematic unit is dedicated to the problem of self-evaluation and the concept, role, and manner of creating a portfolio in the process of self-evaluation. The main goal of the course is: training students for theoretically based planning and implementation of the evaluation process in the field of adult education and learning, namely evaluations of organizations involved in adult education and/or training, evaluations of adult education/training programs, evaluations of education/training processes adults, evaluation of teaching staff in adult education and evaluation of the achievements of adult learners, with the aim of improving the quality of adult education and learning.
