Research

Our university fosters strong cooperation with Indian partners through mobility programs and academic exchange across nearly all research areas. This collaboration has led to numerous German-Indian research projects, reciprocal guest visits, joint publications, and lasting personal connections.

ICAS:MP

The M.S. Merian  – R. Tagore International Centre of Advanced Studies ‘Metamorphoses of the Political’ (ICAS:MP) was set up in July 2015. ICAS:MP is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF: Bundesministerium f. Bildung und Forschung), and is the first of its kind funded outside Germany. It is based on a network of six Indian and German academic partner institutes who are engaged in six different Thematic Modules.

International Research Training Group IRTG 2991, Photoluminescence of Supramolecular Matrices.

IRTG 2991 is an international  research and training program. In close collaboration between researchers at Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg (JMU) and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) the team conducts cutting edge research projects on fluorescent, phosphorescent and higher complexity luminescent materials by making use of smart supramolecular matrices.
