Website

He will talk about “Recent innovations in engineered cellular therapies”.

Background: Riddell is a world leader in a type of immunotherapy called CAR T-cell therapy. In this approach, a patient’s T cells are genetically reprogrammed to carry a synthetic receptor called a chimeric antigen receptor, or CAR, that enables the T cells to bind to and destroy target cells.

The Rudolf Virchow Lecture is organised by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Würzburg, the new “Mildred-Scheel-Nachwuchszentrum für Krebsforschung” and by the Rudolf Virchow Center.
