Global Systems and Intercultural Competence (GSIK)

GSiK is a unique joint project in Germany, involving ten institutions from six faculties at the University of Würzburg. Since the winter semester 08/09, it has been developing a differentiated and scientifically based programme for the acquisition of intercultural competence. The aim of the GSiK programme is the acquisition of intercultural competence as a key qualification. This is achieved on the one hand by training basic social and communicative skills, and on the other hand by thinking outside the box of one's own cultural environment and subject. It is possible to obtain a GSiK certificate or an extended GSiK certificate for the seminars and lectures attended.
